Our collaboration with Sarah, the Owner and Lead Trainer at Better with Sarah, began with a focus on refreshing her website’s look and feel. She’d recently updated the copy and SEO, which were already delivering great results. What she needed next was creative direction to bring the site’s visuals in line with its new, optimised content. With this in mind, we approached the project as a purely cosmetic enhancement.
Sarah shared a comprehensive set of brand guidelines, including the company logo, colours, typefaces, values, tone of voice, and social media guide. This level of brand detail is more than many small businesses typically have, so we had a strong foundation to start with. However, we understand that as businesses grow, it’s common to feel attached to these elements, even when they need updating. This is where our creative direction comes in.
A quick note on brand guidelines—don’t feel pressured to have every element in place before working with us. Every business is at a unique stage in its journey, and our role is to meet you where you are. Brand guidelines provide a shortcut for onboarding team members or collaborators, and if certain elements are missing, we can work together to develop them.
With a fresh perspective, we take a step back to view your brand from a strategic, creative angle. For Sarah, this meant refining her brand guidelines to align more closely with her values. We simplified the colour palette by focusing on the core colours within the logo, creating a clearer visual identity that echoed Better with Sarah’s inclusive, welcoming philosophy. It’s a brand stance we truly admire, and we’re thrilled to help bring it to life.
